All of the threats indicate a heavy potential for social engineering attacks and infiltration. So, Patterson-Gimlin LTD turns to Bigfoot Consulting to help harden the company’s security posture by executing a series of social engineering attacks against their employees, network, and devices. A client wants a follow-up penetration test that focuses on an isolated portion of their network that wasn’t included in the scope of the first. What’s more, they’ve hired me to perform this penetration test.. The rules of engagement for the test are to scan specific systems on the /20 subnet, conduct vulnerability assessments, exploit the systems on the network, document everything, suggest remediation strategies, and avoid all social engineering to gather intel on the network.
